The property Poggio delle Civitelle is a tourist destination that is situated in an area between Bevagna and Gualdo Cattaneo (Perugia). It is in the hill country 600 mt above sea-level and extends for 400 hectares. Olive-groves and woods of tall trees are characteristic of this area. It is also full of historical and religious calls dating back to the thirteenth century. There are remains of an ancient convent, "Monastero del Monte", known as "Monastero delle Civitelle" built in 1198. In this convent Benedectine nuns lived until 1555, after which the Cardinal Farnese destroyed it. There is also the most recent sanctuary ("Santuario Madonna della Valle"), that they built in 1921. It is a destination that many pilgrims decide to visit every year as a place full of religious significance. In Bevagna you can visit the remains of Antignano Castle and the Tower dated back to the thirteenth century. Poggio delle Civitelle of Agricola Antinori has created a place for you to holiday, relax and enjoy the natural environment. The ease of access, its closeness to some of Umbrià s best known tourist attractions and its magnificent view from Perugia to Spoleto makes it one of the most unique destination of its type. 15 bedrooms, 27 apartments, 5 chalet. The property has been recently restored. It offers double bedrooms, rooms with three or four beds. They are located on the ground floor or on the first floor and furnished in plain style. The bedrooms have bath- or shower room, some of them have the window, some the air-exhauster. All bedrooms have fridge/freezer, Sat Tv and telephone. Some of them have balcony or terrace. The suite is situated on the second floor and has a balcony with panoramic view on the Umbrian landscape from Montefalco to Assisi. The apartments are located have Sat Tv, a fully furnished kitchen, and shower room. They are also furnished in plain style and have four gas burners (there is no oven). Some of them have the telephone. The 2-roomed apartments for 4 persons have a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a double sofa-bed. The three-roomed apartments have two double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen a shower room. All apartments have balcony or terrace with a table and some stairs. The chalets are five and have Sat Tv, kitchen corner, four gas burners. They do not have telephone and oven. The chalet for 2 persons are bedsitting rooms and have a cooking corner, a double sofa-bed and a bunk bed, shower room. They are recommended for 2 person or 2 persons with max. 2 children. The chalet for 4 persons has an equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. All chalets have a terrace with plastic table and chairs. Restaurant: typical Umbrian dishes cooked with our products (olive-oil, cheeses, vegetables, wines). There i salso a pizzeria corner (on request). Clients have the possibilità of BB, HB or FB. In the price of HB and FB you can choice between two dishes of “pasta”, meat and vegetable, fruit. The price does not include drinks, dessert and coffee.
