Casa Diletta is a lovely family-run B&B located in a typical Tuscan stone farmhouse, immersed in green olive groves and medieval villages on the surrounding hills. It is only 5 minutes from the thermal town of Montecatini Terme and centrally positioned between Lucca, Pisa, the beaches of the Versilia and Florence. It is the ideal starting point to get to the most beautiful places in Tuscany in less than one hour's drive. Guests are welcomed in two comfortable bedrooms with living room and bathroom, tastefully furnished with Tuscan antiques. The old barn is also available. The renowned thermal establishments of Montecatini and the Grotto containing a thermal pool in Monsummano are very near. Montecatini Terme, famous for its curative waters, offers visitors elegant Liberty style buildings, lovely boutiques, great restaurants, a beautiful park, and numerous cultural events throughout the year. At your disposal in the wellness center, you will find qualified personnel experienced in holistic disciplines ( Ayurveda, Oriental, Shiatzu, Reiki, etc.) to put you at ease with new effective treatments for your relaxation and complete well being. Go to the Tettuccio to admire the liberty architecture or listen to a classical music concert of the "Estate Regina" festival. Take the funicular (1898 cablecar) to Montecatini Alto. The historic part of the town offers a spectacular view and a typical square full of inviting restaurants. Go to the Grotto of Monsummano, a lime cave with hot rooms and a steaming lake. The "Grotta Giusti" also provide a big outdoor thermal swimming pool and other spa treatments. Massa, Cozzile, Buggiano Castello are some of the minor historic centers that you will find in the surrounding hills. These medieval villages have preserved the fascination of times past with their many important antique buildings and churches to visit. The pathways around the olive groves offer the opportunity for healthful walks. Within a radius of 10 kilometers, you can find tennis, an 18-hole golf course, horseracing, swimming pools, mini golf, and horseback riding. The neighborhood restaurants and trattorias typically offer reasonably priced Tuscan cuisine and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Just a few minutes away you can shop at stores, supermarkets and open-air markets. In this zone there are two olive-pressing mills where you can buy extra-virgin olive oil of the region. At only 500 meters there is a nice riding ground /school From here you can enjoy a daily trip to Cinque Terre, five small spectacular villages on the eastern Ligurian coast. Drive for one hour to La Spezia , then take the train which runs every hour between the towns, so that you can hike one way and then take the train back. You shouldn't miss the wild nature of the Garfagnana area and the town of Massa Carrara where you can visit the famous white marble's caves.
