Castiglione agritourism farm is located in Sansepolcro in the Province of Arezzo on a farm extending more than 100 hectares, originally a farmhouse at the end of the1800's. This farmhouse was home to many families of farmers who lived only from cultivation of the land and raising livestock. Castiglione agritourism farm is the site of many memories over a long history of war, rebirth and prosperity. The passion for this land and for Tuscan tradition led us to renovate the ancient farmhouse, attempting to preserve all its original characteristics. The imposing stone structure of the original Tuscan farmhouse remains with its ancient wooden beams, inspiring the names of our apartments: Cantina, Fontanile, Vaccaio, Volpaia and Fattore.
Vacation Apartments Our vacation apartments are large and welcoming, equipped with every convenience, such as the lovely Renaria stone hearth, typical of Tuscan homes, the bedrooms with color TV, private bath and access to Internet service.
The Agritourism farm offers its guests a beautiful pool set in the green park surrounding the apartments.
Castiglione agritourism farm is located in the hills of Sansepolcro, the city of Piero della Francesca, Luca Pacioli and of the well-known Palio della Balestra (Cross-bow competition) not far from areas of great touristic interest for the landscape, the rich historic and cultural heritage, and the traditional products, such as Chianti wine, Tuscan olive oil, and the unmistakable gastronomy typical of Tuscany and Umbria. Our agritourism apartments enjoy a large private outdoor space composed of a perfectly groomed garden with comfortable little tables, two outdoor barbecues where guests may cook excellent Chianina beef (the star of Tuscan cuisine), and hammocks and swings hung between strong oaks, where guests may rest and relax in the open space while reading a book. Here, it is easy to forget the chaos of the city, gazing about the pristine greenery of our countryside, where you may abandon yourself to relaxation, waking each morning to the sweet sounds of nature, strolling in the woods, re-discovering a basic, simple and genuine life, renewing body and spirit… In the heart of Tuscany! The apartments are all characterized by a very similar arrangement and structure, which respect the rustic but elegant style of the antique Tuscan farmhouses. All together, they can host 22/24 people. The guests also have complete access to a beautiful pool in a green setting and equipped with hydromassage, located on a panoramic slope with a view of the valley, just steps from the farmhouse. The pool is located approximately 100 meters from the central area composed of the apartments Cantina, Vaccaio and Fontanile, while the Volpaia apartment enjoys a pool-front location. It is located on one of our hills, surrounded by ancient olive trees, which can be reached by a picturesque lane through the olive grove. From the pool in fact, a superb view opens over the valley among green mountains and rolling hills! Its panoramic location makes it particularly attractive and its use even more pleasant. Just steps from the pool, there is a cooking area with wood stove and barbecue built on stone, perfect for organizing "rustic" dinners or aperitifs. The interior lighting of the pool creates a magical atmosphere for a relaxing evening swim. Our clients also have access to a spacious solarium for relaxing under the Tuscan sun, comfortably reclining on beach chairs and chaise lounges; there is also a spacious terrace, for a better look at the fairytale views of our summer, making it even more panoramic. For children, the agritourism farm offers: enjoyable water games, and a large garden with little tables just steps from the poolside, and hammocks and swings! The guests of our agritourism farm will find convenient locker rooms with showers and toilets and a common area equipped as a laundry where you may find a washer and clotheslines, also already present in the various apartments.
